About

I was born in Italy as a Catholic and I grew up with a great interest in religions. I was exposed to many of them through people and books. Over time my interest became more than an intellectual pursuit, it became a real search for meaning in life.

After a long search I finally met the Mormon missionaries and I was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) in 1985, at age 20. One of the things that really attracted me to the Mormon Church was the belief that families can be together forever. In Italy I married Giovanna and we started our family. Two of my children, Luca and Simon, were born in Europe (Switzerland and Italy).

I later moved to Brazil, where we had two other children and where I finally graduated with a bachelor degree in Social Sciences. Not being satisfied with a bachelor degree I pursued and obtained a scholarship at Brigham Young University where I received an MBA in 2002 and a PhD in in Marriage, Family, and Human Development in 2007.

The following video contain the story of how I became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
